Another Pittsburgh-Area Atria's Closing
The number of Pittsburgh-area Atria's restaurants is continuing to dwindle.

PLEASANT HILLS, PA — Another Pittsburgh Atria's restaurant is saying sayonara.
The Atria's location in Bill Green's Shopping Center will be converted to a Juniper Grill location by summer, the Pittsburgh Business Times reported. Both chains are owned by Pittsburgh-based Restaurant Holdings LP.
The latest Atria's closing comes less than a year after its O'Hara location on Freeport Road was shuttered. That space is now a Tepache Mexican Kitchen & Bar.

According to the Atria's website, its remaining Pittsburgh-area locations will be in Mt. Lebanon, Peters and Murrysville.
The original Atria’s in Mt. Lebanon was owned by Italian immigrant Joe Atria and dates to 1930. It began as a grocery store, then expanded into a barber shop and dry cleaners. In 1933, prohibition ended and Atria’s started to sell beer, then food.

According to the Juniper Grill website, its current locations are in Cranberry, Peters and Murrysville.
