Here are the top stories in Pittsburgh today:

1) The Steelers added another 'L' to their 2022 record yesterday against the Ravens, with a final score of 16 -14. Here's some reactions to the team's sloppy loss from writer's across the country: Brooke Pryor, ESPN: "The Steelers' already slim odds for a playoff bid are microscopic after their loss to the division-rival Baltimore Ravens, who finished the game without Lamar Jackson or backup quarterback Tyler Huntley. Before the loss, the Steelers were quietly building momentum with three wins in their past four games, but Sunday that progress ground to a halt." John Breech, CBS Sports: "The Steelers' loss was similar to their early season home losses to the Patriots and Jets. In all three defeats, the Steelers (5-8) lost low scoring games after committing costly penalties. On Sunday, they committed three turnovers after not turning the ball over in their previous four games." Stephen Thompson, Sports Illustrated:"Mitch Trubisky had a golden opportunity in front of him nonetheless when he took the injured Kenny Pickett's place at quarterback midway through the first quarter against the Ravens. But instead of reminding the football world that there is a place for him in the NFL, Trubisky served up a reminder of why he was benched for Pickett in the first place."

2) One person was pronounced dead and another three are being treated for injuries after a fire broke out in a Pittsburgh apartment building last night. The 5-alarm fire broke out in The Roosevelt Building on Penn Avenue in Downtown Pittsburgh, across the street from Heinz Hall. Shortly after 10:30 p.m., a fire was reported in an apartment on the 12th floor and was contained to that floor. Gas was shut off to the building as a precaution while firefighters worked to extinguish the fire, which was declared under control at 12:13 a.m. A medic was taken to a local hospital for treatment after suffering smoke inhalation, and a firefighter was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The name of the person killed in the blaze has not been released. The cause of the fire has not been determined. Detectives from the fire investigation unit were on-scene and the investigation is ongoing.

4) Allegheny County Jail has announced its book policy refresh after reports of a 'defacto book ban'. This decision stems from local activists and community members who alleged that incarcerated people faced ongoing issues when trying to access reading materials at the jail. In late 2020, jail officials briefly barred all book purchases due to an unspecified "security issue." Incarcerated people could use the jail's library and access books on their tablets, but their loved ones weren't allowed to order and send books from pre-approved third-party vendors. At the November jail oversight board meeting, Allegheny County Council member Bethany Hallam introduced five motions meant to make it easier to send books to incarcerated people. "Jails are supposed to be rehabilitative," she said. "These are folks who are trying to read to educate themselves."

5) After 34 years, a second suspect involved in the bombing of plane that left several Pittsburghers dead, is reportedly in U.S. custody. On Sunday morning, citing Scottish officials, the Associated Press reported that the man suspected of making the bomb that destroyed Pan Am Flight 103 in 1988 was found. This news came two years after then-U.S. Attorney William Barr announced the charges against Abu Agela Mas'ud Kheir Al-Marimi, a Libyan national and bomb expert. Many of the 270 victims of the bombing were American college students flying home for Christmas, which included Elyse Saraceni and Beth Ann Johnson, both of Westmoreland County, who were students at Seton Hill University.
