Biden Holds Large Lead Over Trump In PA, New Poll Shows
The poll indicates Trump might have difficultly duplicating his narrow 2016 win in Pennsylvania.

PENNSYLVANIA — Former vice president and presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has a 50-41 percentage lead over President Trump in a new Franklin & Marshall College poll released Thursday.
Biden's lead is significant, given that Trump narrowly won Pennsylvania in 2016 and winning it again likely would be necessary for him to capture a second term in the White House.
About two in five - 38 percent - of registered voters in Pennsylvania believes Trump is doing an excellent or good job as president, although his ratings on specific topics show considerable issue-by-issue variability.

Trump outperformed his overall job rating on the economy, with 45 percent rating him positively for creating jobs. His ratings on foreign policy and immigration are similar to his overall rating, while his ratings for handling the coronavirus outbreak, improving health care, and protecting the environment are well below his overall rating.
Only 29 percent of poll respondents believe Trump is doing a good or excellent job of managing the pandemic, which thus far has killed more than 7,000 Pennsylvanians.

Trump’s current rating is lower than Barack Obama’s rating in Pennsylvania at the same point in his presidency. A majority of Republicans (75 percent rate Trunp's performance positively, while fewer Democrats (6 percent) or independents (38 percent) do so.
