PITTSBURGH, PA (October 18, 2021) Mayor William Peduto issued the following statement today in response to U.S. Congressman Mike Doyle's announcement he will not be seeking re-election:

“Congressman Mike Doyle has been a model of public service since he took office in 1995. Throughout his long and distinguished career, he has led our region through financial hardship, pivoting economies, new technologies and a global pandemic. He has always put the people of Pittsburgh first and ensured that our residents and neighborhoods had the federal support they needed for investments, improvements and services. He has been a leader, an advocate and a friend to all of our communities as well as to his colleagues on both sides of the aisle in Washington, D.C.  

Congressman Doyle, thank you for using your compassion, skills, talent and diplomacy to make Pittsburgh a better place now and in the future.”
