Closed Pittsburgh Restaurant Returning After Rebranding Effort

"Major announcement: We're back," Legacy Hospitality Partners CEO Herky Pollock said of the reopening.

HOMESTEAD, PA — A popular Pittsburgh restaurant that closed in August is reopening after being renovated and rebranded.

Shorty's, located at The Waterfront, is now known as Shorty's Social Kitchen. Herky Pollock, president and CEO of Legacy Hospitality Partners, which owns the eatery, announced the reopening on social media over the weekend.

Pollock said the decision to close the restaurant occurred because "We had lost our way. And I promised you that we would do better. Today, I am proud to tell you that we are back."

Pollock said Shorty's has been remodeled inside and out. Most of the furniture has been changed. Improvements have been made to the restaurant's karaoke room.

The bar program has been altered, and Shorty's now has separate lunch/dinner, happy hour, brunch and kids menus. Pollock did not provide details of the new menus in the post.
