Coronavirus: Pittsburgh Police Officers Self-Isolate

An unspecified number are at home after possibly being exposed to the coronavirus.

PITTSBURGH, PA - An unspecified number of Pittsburgh police officers are home in self-isolation after possible exposure to the coronavirus.

According to the city Public Safety Department, the officers on Monday responded to a two-vehicle accident in Market Square. One of the drivers was exhibiting symptoms similar to COVID-19 and was taken to a local hospital for testing.

The officers are self-isolating "out of an abundance of caution," according to a post on the department's Facebook page. None of the officers are showing symptoms.
