What To Expect In Western PA's Yellow Reopening Phase
Gov. Tom Wolf is permitting southwestern Pennsylvania to move to the yellow phase of the state's reopening. Here's what that means.
PITTSBURGH, PA- Virtually all of southwestern Pennsylvania is moving from the "red" to "yellow" phase of the state's reopening guidelines on Friday. While that means the stay-at-home order that's been in effect for nearly two months is being lifted, the yellow phase does not mean a return to near-normal life.
The purpose of the yellow phase is for the state to begin to power back up the economy while
carefully monitoring public health data to ensure the spread of the disease remains contained as much as possible. It is not a full-scale lifting of the restrictions that have been in place during the outbreak.
