PITTSBURGH, PA — Don't be depressed that there's no Steelers game this weekend and you have to wait until Monday to see them play the Chicago Bears. There's still a lot going around town, and here are some Patch suggestions on events and activities to keep you out of trouble:
- Crash the Carnegies, Nov. 6-7, various times and locations.
Join Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh to celebrate 125 years of Carnegie experiences. There will be live performances, story times, hands-on art making, historic tours, and more from the library, the four Carnegie museums and many other cultural groups in the city.
- Pgh. Vintage Mixer, Nov. 6, 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Nova Place, North Side.
This annual event brings together local collectors and small vintage businesses selling vintage fashion, vinyl, comics, toys, furniture, textiles, ceramics and pottery, mid-century modern wares, lighting, barware, artwork, collectibles and more. If you're into kitsch, you'll be into this.
