Dr. Oz Puts Up Fetterman 'Soft On Crime' Billboard in Braddock
Republican U.S. Senate candidate Dr, Mehmet Oz goes after his Democratic rival, John Fetterman, in Fetterman's home community.

BRADDOCK, PA — In Pennsylvania's increasingly contentious U.S. Senate race, Republican candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz is attacking his opponent, Democratic Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, in his home community.
Oz on Wednesday put up a billboard near Fetterman’s home in which he labeled the former mayor of that borough “soft on crime.”
In addition to being lieutenant governor, Fetterman also chairs the state's Board of Pardons. Under his leadership of the board, the number of inmates recommended for clemency and release has dramatically increased.

Oz is using Fetterman's leniency policies toward convicted criminals as a campaign staple.
The Fetterman campaign responded to the billboard by issuing the following statement to Pittsburgh's KDKA-TV:

"Dr. Oz would not last a second in Braddock. This rich, fancy man lives in a mansion on a hill in New Jersey, what does he know about confronting crime? Nothing, he has no idea and no real solutions."
Oz and Fetterman are both seeking to succeed retiring Republican Sen. Pat Toomey. The election occurs on Nov. 8.
