Dr. Oz Trailing In Bid For PA GOP Senate Nomination: Poll

A Franklin & Marshall College poll shows TV celebrity doctor Dr. Oz in third place among PA GOP Senate candidates.

PENNSYLVANIA — Despite being Pennsylvania's most well-known Republican U.S. Senate candidate, celebrity doctor Mehmet Oz has not gained significant traction for the GOP nomination, a new Franklin & Marshall College poll indicates.

However, the survey also indicated that 53 percent of Republicans haven't decided on a candidate, leaving plenty of time for any in the field to pull ahead before the May 17 primary.

On the Democratic side, Lt. Gov. John Fetterman has a significant lead over U.S. Rep. Conor Lamb from Western Pennsylvania. But 44 percent of Democrats haven't made up their minds on a candidate.
