Ex-Pittsburgh TV Reporter Lands New Local Job
The former reporter's occupational switch might surprise you.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Former WTAE-TV Westmoreland County reporter Jim Madalinsky has left broadcasting, but not Pittsburgh. He has landed a new job as the Allegheny County Police Department's public information officer.
Police Superintendent Christopher Kearns made the announcement on Monday.
As public information officer, Madalinsky will help maintain and promote communication with the public and coordinate with media during active incidents.

Madalinksy was raised in North Fayette and graduated from Kent State University.
