PITTSBURGH, PA — Would the Steelers have won four Super Bowls in the 1970s were it not for the contributions of Dick Haley? Probably not.
Haley, a Beaver County native, played for the University of Pittsburgh, the Steelers and several other NFL teams. When his playing days were over, he moved into a personnel development role with the Steelers for two decades and helped craft the team's roster during the '70s dynasty.
Sadly, Haley died this week at 85.
