Ex-Steeler Super Bowl Champ's Cause Of Death Revealed

A Colorado coroner's office released details on what killed the former Steelers player.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Larimer County Coroner's Office in Colarado has revealed former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Clark Haggans' cause of death.

Haggans died from complications of chronic alcohol abuse.

A fifth-round draft choice out of Colorado State in 2000, Haggans was a member of the Super Bowl XL team in 2006.

Haggans spent the 2000-2007 seasons with the Steelers before finishing his career with the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers.

Haggans had six sacks in 2004 and nine in 2005. He was also second on the team in tackles and had a sack in the team’s 21-10 Super Bowl XL victory over the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XL in February 2006.
