Farmers' Almanac Issues Pittsburgh Winter Weather Forecast

Find out here what the Farmers Almanac expects for the Pittsburgh region for the 2023-24 winter.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Following a winter in which the region had very little snow, Farmers' Almanac says to expect Western Pennsylvania to have a more traditional winter in 2023-24.

In its newly issued forecast, Farmers' Almanac noted the possible return of an El Nino could see much of the nation experience cold temperatures, snow, sleet and ice. An El Nino is a particularcly high water temperature off of South America's Pacific Coast.

That's especially true for the Great Lakes and Midwest areas of the country.
