First Western PA Coronavirus Case Confirmed
The coronavirus has arrived in western Pennsylvania.
PITTSBURGH, PA - The first presumptive coronavirus case in western Pennsylvania was confirmed Friday by the state Department of Health. In releasing the latest statistics on the outbreak, the health department noted a confirmed case in Washington County.
The presumptive designation means that the coronavirus case has been confirmed by the state, but not yet by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
There were no other details on the person with the virus.
