Former Pittsburgh-Area School Director Jailed

The ex-school director allegedly contacted a minor he is accused of sexually assaulting.

BUTLER, PA — Former Butler school director William Halle is behind bars for violating his probation while awaiting trial for allegedly sexually assaulting a 17-year-old minor who worked for him.

He was jailed after violating a provision of the probation by contacting the alleged victim.

Butler County District Attorney Rich Goldinger told the Butler Eagle that Halle was detained on Wednesday. Halle was placed on probation in June for violating a sexual violence protection order issued by a judge in April; Halle subsequently resigned from the school board.
