Former Pittsburgh TV News Anchor Dies Suddenly
The former Pittsburgh anchor and reporter died unexpectedly at home this week.
COLUBMUS, IN — Former WPXI-TV anchor and reporter Kimberly Easton was found dead Monday at her residence. Easton, 56, died of heart failure, according to her sister, Kelly Easton, who spoke to Pittsburgh Urban Media.
Easton worked at WPXI from 2003 until 2010 and worked at a number of other stations across the country, including stops in Virginia, Michigan, California, Kentucky and Illinois. According to her biography on her website, during her career she interviewed Major League Baseball great Hank Aaron, poet Maya Angelou, actress Eatha Kitt and political figures Jesse Jackson and Oliver North.
Easton had won awards from the National Association of Professional Women, the Press Club of Western Pennsylvania, numerous Michigan Associated Press Awards and the Pennsylvania Associated Press Broadcaster's Award.

Easton had worked for the past three years as multi-cultural coordinator at The Bartholemew Consolidated School Corporation in Columbus.
