Here are the top stories today in Pittsburgh:
1) A shooting outside of Westinghouse Academy in Homewood has left four juveniles injured — but reports state that none of the victims appear to be in a life-threatening situation. All three male victims and one female victim are in stable condition following the incident yesterday afternoon. "Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey issued the following statement on the shooting: 'Westinghouse is a community filled with scholars and champions, and I want everyone to know and celebrate their accomplishments, and not just focus on the violence we saw today. It is on all of us to show these students that we love and care for them as they recover from this tragedy.'"
2) The Pittsburgh Ballet's plans for the 2023-24 season center around one key theme: celebration. "This season we'll be celebrating PBT's history, where we've been, and our future, where we're going," said acting executive director Kathryn Gigler. "We're also welcoming a new artistic director, who has an incredible vision for PBT as a place of community and innovative artmaking." The season's lineup includes three well-known ballets: "The Nutcracker," "Beauty and the Beast" and "Cinderella."

3) Local travelers looking for direct flights to Long Island-Islip, New York; Jacksonville, Florida; Portland, Maine; and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina from Pittsburgh International Airport will now be taken care of, thanks to Breeze Airways. "The airline added flights to New Orleans earlier this month and will begin flights to Orange County, California, on March 31, while also resuming service to Norfolk/Virginia Beach on May 18, and increase flights to Charleston, South Carolina and Providence, Rhode Island this spring." Pricing for the flights through the discount airline will include 'Nice' seating starting at $39, and extra-legroom 'Nicer' seating for $79.
4) An Allegheny County government employee was arrested yesterday on a charge related to a child sex case. "Cam Zmenkowsi, 25, of Cheswick is charged with indecent assault, indecent exposure, dissemination to minors, corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor and criminal solicitation of a person less than 16 years of age." The former controller's office employee has repeatedly since been fired from the role of accountant.
5) Puttery, an adults-only mini-golf entertainment venue in the Strip District, opens this weekend. The new Pittsburgh location will have three 9-hole courses that include the library, the lodge and the garage. Guests can expect to play indoor putt-putt while also enjoying craft cocktails and upscale eats. Each course is $18 per person and lasts roughly 3o-45 minutes to complete. Reservations are not needed but recommended.
