'Hamilton' Returning To Pittsburgh
The announcement came with the unveiling of the 2019-20 Pittsburgh Broadway Series lineup.

PITTSBURGH, PA - If you somehow missed seeing “Hamilton” during its month-long run in Pittsburgh in January, or you saw it and want to see it again, you’re in luck. The show is returning during the 2020-21 Pittsburgh Broadway Series.
The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust confirmed the show will be back in announcing the 2019-20 Broadway Series lineup. Specific dates were not disclosed, but trust officials said 2019-20 series subscribers who renew their subscriptions for 2020-21 will receive priority seating for “Hamilton.”

- "Mean Girls,” Oct. 28-Nov.3, Benedum Center.
Direct from Broadway, the hit musical from an award-winning creative team, including book writer Tina Fey (“30 Rock”), composer Jeff Richmond (“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”), lyricist Nell Benjamin (“Legally Blonde”), and director Casey Nicholaw (“The Book of Mormon”).
- “A Bronx Tale,” Nov. 19-24, Benedum Center.
This hit crowd-pleaser, takes you to the stoops of the Bronx in the 1960s, where a young man is caught between the father he loves and the mob boss he’d love to be.

- “Jesus Christ Superstar,” Dec. 31-Jan. 5, Heinz Hall.
In celebration of the show’s 50th anniversary, a new mesmerizing production comes to North America.
- “Miss Saigon,” Feb. 4-9, Benedum Center.
This is the story of a young Vietnamese woman named Kim who is orphaned by war and forced to work in a bar run by a notorious character known as the Engineer. There, she meets and falls in love with an American G.I. named Chris, but they are torn apart by the fall of Saigon.
- “The Band’s Visit,” March 10-15, Benedum Center
In an Israeli desert town, Dina, the local café owner, takes in a band of Egyptian musicians for the night. Under the spell of the night sky, their lives intertwine in unexpected ways, and this once sleepy town begins to wake up.
- “Summer: The Donna Summer Musical,” April 7-12, Benedum center.
Featuring more than 20 of Summer’s classic hits including “Love to Love You Baby,” “Bad Girls,” and “Hot Stuff,” this electric experience is a moving tribute to the voice of a generation.
- “Escape to Margaritaville,” May 12-17, Benedum Center
The hilarious and heartwarming musical features songs from one of music’s greatest storytellers, Jimmy Buffett.
Season specials include “Cats,” “Les Miserables,” “The Illusionists,” and a four-week run of “Disney’s The Lion King.”
Subscription packages to the seven-show the series range from $205 to $723 per subscription. Single tickets will go on sale six to eight weeks in advance of the show’s opening for most events. Group discounts apply to orders of 10 tickets or more for most events.
