Massive tree falls in Pittsburgh's Manchester neighborhood, releases swarms of bees (cbsnews.com) — A massive oak tree crashed down around 4 a.m. in Pittsburgh's Manchester neighborhood, damaging cars, buildings, and utility lines and knocking out power for several Duquesne Light customers. As city crews worked to clear the debris, multiple bee colonies were disturbed, sending swarms of stinging insects into the area and complicating the cleanup effort.
   

5. Iconic Pittsburgh street set to close for 1-2 months (wtae.com) — Rialto Street in Pittsburgh's Troy Hill neighborhood will close for one to two months starting Monday while crews repair the Lowrie Street Bridge's aging masonry. Drivers to and from Troy Hill will be detoured via Route 28, Chestnut Street, and Troy Hill Road, though pedestrians can still use Rialto and the bridge will stay open to traffic.
