Health Department Shuts Down Pittsburgh Convenience Store-Eatery
The Allegheny County Health Department ordered the closure of the convenience store following a recent inspection.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department has shut down a Homewood convenience store and eatery for numerous health code violations.
Boretta on Frankstown Avenue was found to be open and operating without a valid health permit; had failed to submit construction and remodeling plans before building or renovating a food facility; and had failed to obtain health department food safety plan review compliance before constructing or remodeling a food facility.
Boretta also lacks a three-compartment sink to wash, rinse and sanitize food contact equipment and utensils.
