Kennywood Plans Significant Changes For Upcoming Season
Find out here what's in store for the West Mifflin amusement park this year.
WEST MIFFLIN, PA - A cat-themed ride is leaving and an old favorite is returning at Kennywood this year. After a 15-year run, Garfield's Nightmare won't return for the 2020 season, but the amusement park's floral clock is returning.
Park officials announced the changes to coaster enthusiasts over the weekend at a CoasterBash event.
Garfield's Nightmare, a tunnel-of-love ride near the park entrance, has had many names since its 1901 inception - including the clunky Hardheaded Harold's Horrendously Humorous Haunted Hideaway in the mid-70s. It's been the Old Mill on several occasions, and park officials hinted at its return this year as they showed a video of the Garfield's Nightmare sign being taken down.
