New Downtown Pittsburgh Restaurant Opening
A new Downtown Pittsburgh dining option will debut later this month.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Farewell, Pork and Beans. Hello, Sally Ann's.
Pork and Beans on Sixth Street, Downtown, which has been closed since the beginning of the pandemic, is being replaced by a new restaurant from the Richard DeShantz Restaurant Group. The eatery is named after DeShantz's late mother, who died last year.
According to the Downtown Pittsburgh Development Corporation, the menu will have vegetarian and vegandishes such as carrot pierogi with vegan sausage, broccoli tostada, Rancho Gordo bean salad and cauliflower cubanos.

For meat lovers, the menu will include house-made pastrami, fried bologna sandwiches and roast beef.
The restaurant will open at 7 a.m. with a full-service coffee bar and a limited breakfast menu that will include fresh-pressed juices, breakfast sandwiches and quiches.

The eatery will open during the last week of May.
