New Fast Food Restaurant Chain Set To Debut In Pittsburgh

The chain will open its first Pittsburgh restaurant next week.

PITTSBURGH, PA — A fast-food restaurant specializing in chicken finger meals is arriving in the Pittsburgh area on Tuesday.

Raising Cane's first will open on Fifth Avenue in Oakland on the University of Pittsburgh campus and near various UPMC operation. A second Raising Cane's is expected to open later this month on Lincoln Highway in North Versailles.

As part of the grand opening festivities in Oakland, a drawing will be held Tuesday morning for the chance to be one of 20 to win free Cane’s for a year. Registration will occur 7:30 a.m.-8:30 a.m. with the winners drawn at 9 a.m.

Additionally, the first 100 dine-in customers to purchase a combo meal will receive a custom T-shirt.

In addition to various chicken finger meal combos, the restaurant menu also features chicken sandwiches, crinkle-cut fries, Cane's sauce, Texas toast and coleslaw.
