No Allegheny County Coronavirus Deaths For Second Straight Day

Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.

PITTSBURGH, PA - For the second consecutive day, there were no new coronavirus deaths Sunday in Allegheny County, the county health department announced Monday. The death toll remains at 102.

The reporting of no additional deaths today and yesterday may be due to a delay in reporting for the weekend, according to the health department.

The number of coronavirus cases in the county climbed to 1,365, up from 1, 345 on Sunday and 1,333 on Saturday.

Two hundred and forty people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak, up from 238 on Sunday and 237 on Saturday.

With 435 confirmed cases in Beaver County, 401 in Westmoreland County, 180 in Butler County and 119 in Washington County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county
southwestern Pennsylvania region to 2,500. That's up from 2,474 on Sunday and 2,448 on Saturday.

According to the state Department of Health, there have now been been204 coronavirus deaths
thus far in the five-county region: One hundred and two in Allegheny County, 68 in Beaver County, 26 in Westmoreland County, six in Butler County and two in Washington County. That's the same number as Sunday.

According to state Department of Health figures, Allegheny County has recorded the ninth-most coronavirus cases in the state behind Berks, Bucks, Delaware, Lehigh, Luzerene, Montgomery, Northampton and Philadelphia counties.
