PA Attorney General Seeking To Shut Down Pittsburgh-Area Contractor
Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry contends a Pittsburgh contractor failed to complete jobs or provide refunds.
IMPERIAL, PA — Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry is attempting to shut down an Imperial contractor for allegedly using illegal contracts and failing to complete jobs or provide refunds.
Henry's office has filed a lawsuit against Brothers All Around Service LLC and owner John McDonald.
Henry wants the court to declare Brothers All Around Service and McDonald in violation of the Consumer Protection Law and the Pennsylvania Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act; require it pays restitution to any impacted consumers, and prevent Brothers All Around Service and McDonald from registering as home improvement contractors in the future.

The lawsuit was filed after Henry's office received complaints from consumers who paid Brothers large upfront amounts for jobs that were not completed. In some instances, Brothers did not issue refunds and avoided consumer phone calls - even going as far as blocking customer phone numbers.
Most consumers were left with unfinished work and had to hire separate contractors to complete the jobs - and in some cases repair the work Brothers had started.

“This home improvement company demanded, and took, large upfront payments from customers, then failed to complete the work and had the audacity to actively avoid consumers who called for status updates,” Henry said in a statement.
