PA Gov. Tom Wolf Criticizes Steeler QB's Barber Visit
Wolf's criticism of Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger occurred after a video surfaced of him getting his beard trimmed.

HARRISBURG, PA — Gov. Tom Wolf on Tuesday criticized Pittsburgh Steeler Ben Roethlisberger after a video surfaced on Roethlisberger's social media accounts of the quarterback getting a haircut. Hair salons are not supposed to be open in the state's yellow reopening phase after the coronavirus shutdown.
The 38-second video showed Roethlisberger throwing the ball to several teammates to illustrate he is recovering from the elbow injury suffered in the season's second game last year. The injury required surgery and forced him to miss the rest of the season.
Roethlisberger let his hair and beard grow, vowing he would not get them cut until he was able to throw a football again. After the throwing session, the video shows Roethlisberger getting the beard trimmed. That occurred at Norman's Cut N Edge Barbersharp in Sewickely, ESPN reported.

Speaking on a conference call with reporters, Wolf expressed disapproval over Roethlisberger's visit to the barber, saying, "Anybody who puts himself or herself into harm's way is something we ought to try to avoid."
"I don't care who you are, the chances of your virus wreaking havoc on your life increase," he continued. "I don't think any Pennsylvanian ought to take that chance, I don't want to take that chance."
