PA Lt. Gov. Fetterman Ridicules GOP Vote Audit Attempt
Lt. Gov. John Fetterman has sarcastically mocked a state senator's attempt to force an audit of recent vote counts in several PA counties.

HARRISBURG, PA — Pennsylvania lieutenant governor and U.S. Senate candidate John Fetterman appears to be poking fun at state Sen. Doug Mastriano's attempt to force an audit of recent vote counts in four of the state's 67 counties.
Fetterman has written a letter to Paul Rudd requesting that he and the actor re-enact scenes from Rudd's 2009 movie, "I Love You, Man." The letter states that Fetterman was inspired to contact Rudd because of "bizarre, nonsensical missives on official letterhead recently originating from my state."
That seems to be a thinly veiled reference to Mastriano's call for a "forensic investigation" of votes cast in the 2020 general and 2021 primary elections. The Franklin County Republican, an ardent supporter of former President Donald Trump, last week asked Philadelphia, Tioga and York counties to submit a plan to comply with his audit demand of the 2020 general election and 2021 primary by July 31.

That's the same deadline Fetterman has given Rudd to comply with his "I Love You, Man" request. "While my office has no official jurisdiction, it is on official letterhead, so there's that," he stated.
Mastriano, who chairs the Senate Intergovernmental Operations Committee and is believed to be close to announcing a gubernatorial bid next year, stated that the necessity for an audit is "evident to any unbiased observer." But no county election board or state official has claimed any widespread voter fraud or irregularities in state elections.

Gov. Tom Wolf and state Attorney General Josh Shapiro have denounced the attempt at an audit.
In light of recent bizarre, unhinged requests on official letterhead from Pennsylvania electeds, my office formally requested Paul Rudd to re-enact scenes from “I Love You, Man” with me. pic.twitter.com/SDf6E4OCW1
