PA's Safest School Districts 2018: How Safe is Peters Township?
Thirty of Allegheny County's 43 school districts ranked among the state's 400 safest districts. Did yours?

PITTSBURGH, PA - School safety is a topic garnering considerable attention in light of last week’s school shooting in Parkland, Florida and Niche.com has just released its listing of the safest school districts in Pennsylvania.
Only one district from Allegheny County cracked the top 10 in the rankings: South Fayette, which rated as the state’s second-safest district. Peters Township was raked the 21th-safest district.
Niche.com, which analyzes data for schools and communities across the country, relied on data from the U.S. Department of Education and reviews from students and parents to determine the rankings.

Factoring into the ratings were parent-student safety surveys, the number of in- and out-of-school suspensions, expulsions, law enforcement referrals and school-related arrests.
