Pittsburgh 2023 Halloween Forecast A Scary One, Weather Service Says

The National Weather Service has issued its early Halloween forecast for Western Pennsylvania. Chances are you aren't going to like it.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Temperatures are unseasonably warm in Western Pennsylvania at the moment, but the heat wave is about to end - and the National Weather Service says there's a decent chance of there being frost on the Halloween pumpkin.

The weather service on Thursday issued its early forecast for Oct. 31 on social media and it certainly had a Halloween theme. The bottom line is that trick-or-treaters or anyone escorting them while they get their candy should prepare to bundle up.

Here's what the weather service had to say:

"Early next week, the weather in our area could take a very spooky turn. Bone-chilling air arrives with highs perhaps not exceeding 45 degrees and lows in the terrorizing 20s at night.

"Blustery, gusty win could add an additional creepy chill. Scattered scare showers, perhaps due to the flow off of Lake Erie may contain some frosty flakes during the darker witching hours."
