Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co. Facilities Christmas, New Year's Schedules

Here's your Patch guide to what's open and closed in the city and county through New Year's Day.

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA — Pittsburgh and county offices will be closed Dec. 26 and Jan. 2 in observance of the Christmas and New Year's Day holidays. They will reopen on Dec. 27 and Jan. 3.

County parks facilities will be in operation over the holidays but will follow an altered holiday schedule. For information on what is open and when, click here.

In the city, refuse collections for Dec. 26 and Jan. 2 will be delayed one day. If your scheduled day of collection is Monday, you will be serviced Tuesday Dec. 27. Those usually serviced Tuesday will be serviced Wednesday, and so on through the week. The same will hold for the following week.

CENTRAL/EASTERN Neighborhoods

CitiParks Facilities will operate with the following schedules:

HEALTHY ACTIVE LIVING CENTERS: Closed Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.

RECREATION CENTERS: Closed Dec. 24- 26 and Dec. 31-Jan. 2. All centers will be open Dec. 27-30 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. except for the Magee Rec Center, which will be open until 8 p.m.

SCHENLEY PARK SKATING RINK: Dec. 24, one session, 1:30-3 p.m.; Dec. 25, closed; Dec. 31, one session, 1:30 p.m.-3 p.m.; Jan. 1, regular schedule.
