Pittsburgh-Area Coronavirus Death Toll Rises
Here are the latest coronavirus case statistics for the Pittsburgh area and southwestern Pennsylvania.

PITTSBURGH, PA - With Beaver County's first coronavirus fatalities, southwestern Pennsylvania's death toll during the outbreak stands at six as of 11 a.m. Wednesday. Allegheny and Butler counties also have had two coronavirus deaths.
The state Department of Health currently tallies just one coronavirus death in Beaver. But officials at the Brighton Rehabilitation and Wellness Center have confirmed two COVID-19 deaths; the reason for the discrepancy with the official state figure for Beaver County is unclear.
Allegheny County's confirmed coronavirus cases have increased to 356 as of 11 a.m. Wednesday, the county health department announced. That's up from 325 cases on Tuesday and 290 cases on Monday.

Sixty-one people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak, up from 51 on Monday.
With 61 confirmed cases in Westmoreland County, 60 in Butler County, 52 in Beaver County and 33 in Washington County, that brings the total number of coronavirus cases in the five-county southwestern Pennsylvania region to 562 as of Wednesday morning. That's up from 499 on Tuesday morning and 436 on Monday.

According to Pennsylvania Department of Health figures, Allegheny County has recorded the fourth-most coronavirus cases in the state behind Montgomery, Philadelphia and Delaware counties.
The five-county region and 28 other Pennsylvania counties remain under a stay-at-home order through at least April 30. Gov. Tom Wolf has ordered schools and non-life-sustaning businesses closed indefinitely.
