Pittsburgh-Area District Judge Accused Of Misconduct With Teens
The Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board has cited a Pittsburgh-area district judge for his conduct with three teen boys.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board has filed charges in the Court of Judicial Discipline against Allegheny County District Judge Anthony Saveikis. The charges are related to his alleged interactions with three teen boys.
The 12-page complaint against Saveiki accuses him of inappropriate interactions with the youths, two of whom were defendants in his Findlay Township court.
The complaint alleges that Saveikis in 2018 approached a 17-year-old at a diner and asked him personal questions. According to the complaint, the judge entered a closed freezer with the teen and touched him on his shoulders arms and back, making the teen feel "very vulnerable."

In March 2022, the judge ordered a defendant, 17, to complete community service at McSummerfest, a community fair in McDonald. The complaint stated that the judge often went to the fairgrounds to see the teenager, offered to take him out socially and texting him.
In April 2022, he sentenced a 14-year-old defendant to work at another festival and visited that boy there. Savekis allegedly took the boy off the fairgrounds property and bought him things at a convenience store, touching him on the arms and shoulders, making the boy feel "uncomfortable."

Two of the three incidents were reported to the Findlay police department, which reported them to the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office. The district attorney's office declined to file charges, but then-President Judge Kim Berkely Clark on two occasions "strongly cautioned Judge Saveikis about his behavior," according to the complaint.
The judicial review board is giving the judge 30 days to respond to the charges. Potential penalties involve official sanctions and his possible removal from office.
