Pittsburgh Band Code Orange Nominated For Grammy Award
The hardcore metal band also recently was lauded by Rolling Stone magazine.

PITTSBURGH PA - From its humble beginnings at Pittsburgh’s Creative and Performing Arts High School nearly a decade ago, Code Orange has climbed to the apex of the music industry. The hardcore metal band was nominated for a Grammy award in best metal performance Tuesday for the title track to its most recent album, “Forever.”
The nomination comes just days after Rolling Stone ranked “Forever” the 50th best album released in 2017. The rock magazine praised what it termed the album’s “thick level of dread.”
Drummer-singer Jami Morgan told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that getting the Grammy nomination was “pretty cool.” Code Orange is touring at the moment, but Morgan said the band would be at the Grammy Awards ceremony in New York City in January.
