Pittsburgh Eatery Gone For Good Following Huge Fire

PITTSBURGH, PA — A Pittsburgh eatery that has yet to reopen more than two years after a devastating fire is gone for good.

Nana's New York Hot Dogs on Federal Street in Pittsburgh's North Side announced in a Facebook post Saturday that it is closed forever after the December 2023 blaze.

"We are selling the building," the post stated.

"We truly did everything we could to reopen, but after facing one obstacle after another, that goal became increasingly difficult to achieve. Weeks turned into months, and months turned into years.

"Following the passing of Rich, Nana’s husband, the decision was made to sell the building. We are heartbroken that we weren’t able to bring it back the way we had hoped.

"Our fingers are crossed that a local buyer purchases the property and reopens it as a hot dog shop, so it can continue to be a part of the community for years to come."
