Pittsburgh Getting Taste Of Winter Temperatures
Find out here how long the Western Pennsylvania cold snap will last.
PITTSBURGH, PA — A cold front moved through Western Pennsylvania overnight and dramatically dropped temperatures. The region will receive its initial dose of cold winter weather for the next two days.
Today's National Weather Service forecast calls for cloudy skies and a high near 36. Winds will be from the west at up to 16 mph. Expect scattered snow showers tonight, with a low around 22. There will be little or no accumulation.
Tuesday is expected to be even colder, with highs not getting out of the 20s and west winds of up to 20 mph. The weather service warns that wind chills will be in the single digits in most areas and below zero in the mountain ridges outside of the city.

Thankfully, the initial blast of winter temperatures will be brief. A warming trend begins Wednesday with an expected high near 40, with highs near 50 on Thursday and Friday.
