Pittsburgh Grocery Store Slapped With Consumer Alert

The Allegheny County Health Department found significant health issues with the supermarket.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department has issued a consumer alert for the Shop 'n Save on Butler Street in Lawrenceville.

A health inspector on Thursday found six dead mice on glue boards under the grocery aisles. Rodent droppings were found in several aisles, behind the beer outlet and in the deli under the steam table.

Chewed foods were found on display. Other items for sale rested on rodent droppings including soups, gravies, ramen noodles, cup noodles,thai noodles, popcorn, soup mixes, trail mix and pastas.
