Pittsburgh Making Big Comeback: Discoverer

PITTSBURGH, PA - The Discoverer travel blog has high praise for Pittsburgh, naming it one of "6 U.S. Cities Making a Comeback" in a recent post. The other cities are Boise, Idaho; Detroit, Michigan; Bend, Oregon; Greenville, South Carolina and Columbus, Ohio.

"Long in decline, Pittsburgh has seen a resurgence post-recession, largely owing to the mining and shale-fracking industries," Discoverer noted. " In 2017, the Steel City had the 25th largest GDP of U.S. metro areas. In other words — Pittsburgh is popping. "

The blog praised the city's arts, culture and sports scenes, noting attractions that make Pittsburgh worth a visit such as The Carnegie Museum of Natural History, the Carnegie Museum of Art, Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens and the Andy Warhol Museum.

The blog also lauded the city's thriving sports scene.

"It's no wonder more people are making a pit stop in Pittsburgh a priority," Discoverer stated.
