Pittsburgh Severe Weather Risk Rises: National Weather Service
Batten down the hatches, folks. Things could get ugly later today.
PITTSBURGH, PA — The National Weather Service storm prediction center has upgraded the chances of severe weather for much of Western Pennsylvania, including Pittsburgh.
The enhanced severe weather alert mans there is a chance of numerous storms, damaging winds, large hail and tornadoes.
The storms are expected to arrive between 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

The SPC has upgraded the current Severe Weather Outlook for this evening to an Enhanced Risk. The main driver of the upgrade is due to damaging winds. At this time, expect the main line/broken discrete cells to begin entering eastern OH and NW PA around 6pm-8pm. pic.twitter.com/QzJrXjbuU6
