Pittsburgh Snow Accumulation Forecast: Latest Update
The National Weather Service is predicting the winter's first snow accumulation in the Pittsburgh area.

PITTSBURGH, PA — It won't be a major winter storm, but the National Weather Service is predicting the season's first accumulation will occur in the Pittsburgh area Thursday.
Initial predictions called for as much as three inches of snow, but the weather service downgraded the anticipated total overnight to one to two inches. Higher totals are expected south of the city and in the mountains east of it.
There will be a six- to nine-hour precipitation window from Thursday night into Friday morning. Thursday's afternoon rush hour likely will not be impacted, but Friday morning's could be.
