Pittsburgh Triple Homicide: 2 Victims Identified, Suspects Sought
Three people were gunned down Saturday night in Pittsburgh's North Side. A fourth person was wounded.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Public safety officials will provide an update this morning on Saturday's deadly shooting in the North Side that left three people dead and another person wounded.
Two of the victims have been identified by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office. Killed in the gunfire were Jacquelyn C. Mehalic, 33, and Betty J Averytt, 59. The deceased male and a man wounded in the shooting have not been identified.

Pittsburgh Police from Zone 1 and EMS were dispatched to the 300 block of Cedar Avenue before 10 p.m. following reports of multiple shots fired. They found one of the women dead; the second woman and the male were taken to the hospital, where they later died. The wounded man was reported in stable condition at a local hospital.
Police have not identified a suspect or suspects in the shooting or discussed a possible motive.

The shooting occurred in one of the North Side's most heavily traveled areas that includes a Giant Eagle Supermarket, a Sunoco gas station, a 7-Eleven convenience store and an Elks Lodge.
