PITTSBURGH, PA — An organization representing Uber and Lyft drivers has called for a one-day strike Wednesday in select cities - including Pittsburgh.

Justice for App Workers says drivers in select cities across the country, such as Pittsburgh, Austin, Chicago, Hartford, Miami, Newark, Orlando, Philadelphia and Tampa, will not take riders from any airport in those cities on Wednesday. The organization is a national coalition of ride-sharing and delivery services such as DoorDash.

"We're going on strike and we're telling the app companies that we won't take it anymore," the organization stated on its website.
