Pittsburgh Winter Storm: Here's How Much More Snow Is Expected
The winter storm hitting Pittsburgh Friday morning has triggered hundreds of school closings and significant road restrictions.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The National Weather Service's Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for the Pittsburgh metro area until 10 a.m. Saturday, with additional snow accumulations between two to four inches.
The heavy snow and slippery road conditions prompted hundreds of school closures in Western Pennsylvania Friday. Road conditions for evening commuters are expected to be poor.
PennDOT is urging motorists to avoid unnecessary travel but those who must head out will see speed limits temporarily reduced to 45 mph on the following highways in Allegheny County:

Pittsburgh officials on Thursday asked residents to stay off the roads if possible so crews can clear the roads more quickly.
Calmer weather is expected on Saturday, but expect extremely cold temperatures. The expected high is near 20 with below-zero wind chill values.

Sunday's anticipated high temperature is 26.
The region will see a warming trend next week though, with high temperatures reaching the mid-40s.
