Pittsburgh Winter Storm: Latest Snowfall Predictions, Timing
A late Winter storm will bring widespread snow accumulations across the Pittsburgh area. Find out here how much is on the way.
PITTSBURGH, PA — The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Pittsburgh and much of southwestern Pennsylvania as a potent storm bears down on the region. The advisory is in effect from 10 p.m. Friday until noon on Saturday.
The weather service has downgraded its accumulation prediction from Thursday from 5 to 7 inches to 3 to 6 inches. The snow total forecast was lowered because the storm is shifting eastward, the weather service said.
The heaviest snowfall is expected to occur overnight. Expect slippery road conditions.

Whatever snow does fall likely will not be around for long. Although high temperatures will only be in the 30s this weekend, temperatures are expected to rebound to the mid-60s by midweek.
