Pittsburgh Winter Storm Update: Thousands Remain Without Power
Temperatures in Pittsburgh have plummeted to their coldest December levels in more than three decades.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Duquesne Light has restored power to about 18,000 customers since a power winter storm brought strong winds, snow and plummeting temperatures into the region shortly before 6 a.m. About 7,000 remain without service.
Communities with the most outages include Collier, Findlay, Fox Chapel, Homestead, Munhall, Downtown Pittsburgh, Fineview, Sewickley and Wilkinsburg.
Duquesne Light said its crews have been challenged by hazardous road conditions; wind gusts causing safety issues for bucket truck workers making overhead repairs; and downed trees on power lines.
