Pittsburgh's Monongahela Incline Reopens
The landmark incline had been closed for months for a multimillion-dollar renovation.

PITTSBURGH, PA — After a seven-month closure, the Monongahela Incline connecting Mt. Washington to the South Side at Station Square reopened Monday morning.
The opening was delayed for about 90 minutes because of a mechanical issue, according to a tweet from Pittsburgh Regional Transit, which operates the incline.
The incline closed in August for an $8.2 million rehabilitation that included updating the mechanical and electrical systems, renovating the interiors of the upper and lower stations and replacing the track lighting.
