PNC Park Eatery Closing

After a four-year run, a popular ballpark restaurant is closing.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Slice on Broadway will be closing its PNC Park location at the end of the month, the local pizza chain announced on Monday as the Pirates prepared for their home opener against the Milwaukee Brewers. The local pizza chain's ballpark location debuted in 2016.

"It may be opening day for the Pittsburgh Pirates but unfortunately it will be our last at PNC Park. After much contemplation we have decided close this location," Slice on Broadway announced on Facebook.

"Friday, July 31st will be our last day at PNC Park. As our lease ended, we reviewed the current climate and have decided that now is the best time to leave. With the current conditions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, including no fans for baseball games and most offices on the North Shore being either empty or only partially full it has been a difficult last few months.

"Our first day at PNC Park was Opening Day 2016 and we had four successful seasons. We sold thousands of slices, salads, and pizzas and created so many wonderful memories with the great customers we met during that time. Working with the Pirates organization was a tremendous
experience and we will miss being a part of the action at PNC Park.

"Our three other locations are thriving and we hope you can come visit us in Beechview, Carnegie, or East Liberty. Our great customers are whywe continue to create the best pizza in Pittsburgh and we cannot thankyou all for the loving support you have shown us over the years."
