Popular Downtown Pittsburgh Restaurant Hit With Consumer Alert

PITTSBURGH, PA - The Allegheny County Health Department has issued a consumer alert for Las Velas restaurant in Market Square for numerous violations.

An inspection Wednesday found roaches seen in kitchen near the clean plate and utensil storage area, numerous foods being stored at unsafe temperatures and soiled knives and a glass at the bar.

Additionally, an employee was seen eating while chopping bell peppers.
