Popular Pittsburgh Bar Permanently Closes
"Closing bars that we love is always difficult," the tavern's owner said.
PITTSBURGH, PA — It was a short run. After little more than three years of operation, BrewDog in East Liberty has gone out of business.
The Pittsburgh location has been removed from the Scottish-based multinational brewery and pub chain's website. The bar is listed as permanently closed on Google.
BrewDog CEO James Watt said in a LinkedIn Post Thursday that the Pittsburgh location was one of four BrewDog locations being shuttered; the East Liberty bar is the only one in the U.S. shutting down.

"Closing bars that we love is always difficult," Watt stated.
However, the increased cost of goods and run-away energy bills mean that we can’t continue to operate these venues. I want to thank all our team members who worked so hard in these bars, and I truly share your sadness in them closing."
