Popular Pittsburgh Singer-Songwriter, Wife Die In Same Week

PITTSBURGH, PA — Just three days after the death Monday of Pittsburgh country music performer Bob Corbin, his wife Edana, died.

The Corbins' daughter, Jessica Corbin, announced the news on social media.

"We’ve had a sad week in our family," she stated in a post Thursday.

"On Monday, we lost my dad, Bob Corbin and then early this morning my mom Edana Corbin followed. They were married for 53 years, and there’s some comfort in knowing that neither have to live without the other.

"They were loved and admired by many, and we would like to thank everyone for sharing so many memories and stories over the past few days. We are asking for privacy at this difficult time, but if anyone would like to make a donation in their name, it would be very meaningful to donate at www.sweetrelief.org - a non-profit organization to help musicians in need."

Bob Corbin was a staple of Western Pennsylvania's country music scene for decades. Corbin and musical partner Dave Hanner were part of the Corbin Hanner Band and then later recorded and performed as Corbin/Hanner.
